Senior Engagement Manager (Multiple Positions), Databricks, Inc., San Francisco, CA. Design and implement sales strategies to promote and sell service offerings that support customer adoption of the company’s software products and achievement of desired business outcomes. Collaborate with account executives and technical teams to develop and execute service sales strategies for target accounts. Consult with clients to identify technical requirements, business objectives, and success metrics, and tailor service solutions to meet customer needs. Develop and present proposals, statements of work, and pricing estimates based on scope, timing, and resource requirements. Lead customer discussions with senior executives to align solutions with digital transformation roadmaps and drive value realization. Identify opportunities for service expansion and renewal by analyzing customer use cases, solution adoption, and performance data. Coordinate with internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure successful implementation, customer satisfaction, and post-sales adoption. Monitor sales pipeline, prepare forecasts, and report on performance against quotas for professional services and training revenue. Must have a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Science or a related field plus 36 months of experience in sales engineering, engagement management, or related technical role.
In the alternative, will accept Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Science or a related field plus 60 months of progressive, post bachelor’s experience in sales engineering, engagement management, or related technical role.
Of the required experience, must have 36 months in:
Developing and executing service sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets;
Consulting with clients to determine business requirements and designing customized solutions;
Preparing and delivering technical or value-based sales presentations to executive-level audiences;
Collaborating with sales and engineering teams to define scope, pricing, and implementation plans;
Utilizing CRM systems (such as Salesforce) to manage pipeline and forecast revenue;
Applying knowledge of data analytics, artificial intelligence, or cloud-based technologies to client engagements; and
Managing customer relationships and ensuring post-sales adoption and satisfaction.
Up to 10% travel (domestic) based on business need.
