Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Combat Systems BusinessArea is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level SoftwareEngineer to join our growing team. The selected candidate will contribute tothe design, development, and implementation of software solutions that supportmission-critical defense applications. This position offers the opportunity towork alongside experienced engineers in a professional and technically focusedenvironment.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Participates in an Agile development process to produce reliable software solutions for mission critical systems.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems.
• Participates in one or all of the software disciplines available including UI, Infrastructure and back-end development.
• Interfaces with Management, Software Engineers, Systems Engineers and Test Engineers to generate thorough investigations and solutions to problems.
• Is self-motivated to explore solutions to software issues and can communicate them with the team.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in ComputerEngineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree witha concentration in computer science courses.

Experience: At least 0-2 years' experience andproven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis andresolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integrationtesting.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Proven knowledge and experience around object-oriented programming.
• Experience with C++ and/or Java.
• Candidate should be familiar with RedHat Enterprise Linux and git.
• Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration preferred.
• Experience with combat systems, control systems, QT, GPB, and AMQP is preferred.
• Experience with Database technologies such as Oracle, MariaDB, or MySQL.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
