MEMBERSHIP MANAGER
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a part-time position in which the Membership Manager, under the supervision of and partnership with the AWA Executive Director, manages member relations, communications, administration, recruitment, and retention.
DUTIES
Manage membership administration (50%)
Serve as first point of contact for current and prospective members via email and phone.
Carry out all moves management efficiently for new and renewing membership activities via NeonOne CRM including data input, upgrades, invoicing, and communications.
Create and maintain records of AWA member exhibition and event entries.
Track membership participation and eligibility to move through membership levels.
Produce and send notifications and certificates for membership advancement
Consistently review administrative processes to improve documentation and create efficiencies and automation when possible.
Carry out ongoing member relations and education (35%)
Manage all member communications to achieve excellent customer service, support artists in their careers, increase engagement, and represent a high level of visual and written content to reflect the AWA brand.
Maintain regular member outreach via monthly digital magazine and separate email bulletins.
Update membership related website content.
Represent AWA with members and in the community at member events 1-2 times per year. Assist Executive Director with in-person event management with a pro-active and customer-focused mindset.
Collect and organize materials from artists related to exhibitions including images, bios, and descriptions of work for use in print and digital media. Consistently review processes to create efficiencies and automation when possible.
Create and carry out strategies for growth and development of membership program in coordination with the Executive Director and Membership Committee (15%)
In partnership with the Executive Director, create and implement strategic membership goals based in financial and engagement metrics.
Measure and report AWA membership statistics quarterly providing effective, actionable feedback.
Share membership best practices and trends to continually improve membership program.
Manage membership benefits.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed indoors in a home office environment, with travel one to two times annually. Home office is required with computer, high speed internet access preferably hard-wired, printer, scanner, and cell phone. Ability to lift 30lbs and traverse stairs required one-two times annually at member events.
This position is part-time, 20 hours weekly and fully remote. Schedule can be flexible, M-F between 8-6 Eastern Standard Time and will be determined when hired.
Starting pay is $25/hr.
A monthly technology reimbursement of $50 will be provided

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Discerning eye for design and visual marketing.
Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service to a diverse group of stakeholders.
Demonstrated CRM experience including data entry, data reconciliation and reporting.
Demonstrated experience with enews platforms including designing, editing, and sending communications.
Demonstrated experience with website content maintenance preferable using WordPress.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Power Point.
Use of online document storage via Dropbox.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, flexible, and collaborative with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability and desire to acquire additional skills and knowledge through study and training.
