Description
Provider assists patients in recovery from mental health and substance abuse disorders through a focus on supporting their physical health and primary care needs. As a mental health practice, we look at all aspects of a patient's health, including physical health. Carencia mental health providers collaborate with and refer to the Carencia FNP in order to meet all of the patient's health needs. Weekly treatment teams ensure that the Medical FNP and the Psychiatric NP's are working together for their mutual patients. Provides evidence-based structured therapeutic and clinical interventions with an emphasis on the individual's goals for physical health. A commitment to an outcomes-oriented approach and improvement in the quality of life is a central theme of services performed. Dedication to being organized and prepared with all the needed materials and resources to provide consistent and reliable quality care is paramount. FNP provider uses active listening and empathy to help identify and address patient health needs. This includes diagnosis, medication prescription, goal-setting, and referrals.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the conventional and functional practice of nursing and medicine
- Personal characteristics of maturity and professionalism with a sincere desire to work with individuals
- FNP-BC
- Master’s degree
- Two years of family care experience
- Basic computer skills in word processing, e-mail, electronic health records, and Internet use
- Access to the appropriate technology for reliable virtual services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced licensure to provide supervision to other clinicians
- Advanced certification and training in functional approaches to healthcare
