American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC)
Contract Position
The American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) is seeking an experienced, innovative, and mission aligned professional to serve as Director of Programs and Education. This contracted role plays a key part in advancing AALNC’s commitment to professional growth, community building, and high-quality education for legal nurse consultants and allied professionals.
The Director of Programs and Education leads the development, delivery, and evaluation of AALNC’s educational portfolio; supports accreditation compliance; and collaborates with volunteers, staff, and subject matter experts to create meaningful learning experiences for members.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Oversight
- Design, implement, and evaluate AALNC’s educational programs, including:

- LNC Professional Course
- OnDemand and Live Webinars
- Jumpstart
- AALNC Annual Forum
- LNCC Review Course
- Mentorship Program

- Ensure alignment with AALNC’s strategic priorities and ANCC accreditation standards.
- Serve as Lead Nurse Planner for the AALNC Provider Unit.
- Oversee accreditation compliance, including annual reporting, four-year reaccreditation, documentation, evaluation processes, and quality outcomes.
- Mentor the Nurse Planner and support subject matter experts.
Curriculum & Content Management
- Develop evidence based, innovative educational content for new and experienced legal nurse consultants.
- Oversee the lifecycle of AALNC’s educational products.
- Collaborate with committees, SMEs, partner organizations, and the Board to refine curricula.
Member Engagement
- Create accessible, engaging learning experiences for members and stakeholders.
- Support mentorship initiatives and professional development pathways.
- Lead and participate in educational committees and task forces, including the AALNC Annual Forum Planning Committee.
- Establish annual plans of work, processes, and timelines.
Operational Leadership
- Manage educational program budgets, timelines, and reporting.
- Collaborate with staff on marketing, communications, and product promotion.
- Oversee subcontractors, SMEs, and volunteers involved in educational product development.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and continuing education requirements.
- Provide training to the Board, staff, and volunteers as needed
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Graduate degree.
Baccalaureate degree or higher in nursing.
Current, unencumbered U.S. nursing license.
Experience with ANCC accreditation, curriculum development, and program leadership.
