We are seeking a consultant psychiatrist to join our private psychology and psychiatry practice. The role focuses on comprehensive psychiatric assessments (Item 291) and/or ongoing care (Item 296). Consultations are primarily delivered via telehealth, providing flexibility and the ability to work from anywhere in Australia.

For those who prefer in-person work, our consulting rooms in Camberwell, Victoria are available, and face-to-face consultations can be offered as desired.

The role
This position is ideal for a psychiatrist who values person-centred care, and wants to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary team. You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and/or provide ongoing care, with flexibility to work via telehealth, in-person, or a combination. The balance between assessment and ongoing care can be tailored to your interests and availability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed psychiatric assessments and prepare clear, collaborative reports.
• Provide ongoing care, (e.g., medication review), where indicated.
• Coordinate care with referring GPs and psychologists.

Requirements

• Registered with AHPRA as a psychiatrist and a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
• Confident in conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and preparing clear reports.
• Committed to thoughtful, person-centred care in a collaborative setting.
